Humanitarian Studies Programs: Start Here

Research Guide for Fordham's Humanitarian Studies programs

Introduction

This guide was created for students within the Humanitarian Studies programs offered by the Institute of International Humanitarian Affairs.

"The Institute of International Humanitarian Affairs (IIHA) prepares current and future aid workers with the knowledge and skills needed to respond effectively in times of humanitarian crisis and disaster. Our courses are borne of an interdisciplinary curriculum that combines academic theory with the practical experience of seasoned humanitarian professionals." (From the Institute of International Humanitarian Affairs homepage)

You may also find useful resources within the Human Rights Research Guide, which recommends additional resources and research materials about human rights issues, the Politics and Government Research Guide, or the Nonprofit and NGO Research Guide.

Because Humanitarian Affairs programs are inherently interdisciplinary, you may also find useful materials within our other Research Guides.  Feel free to browse our entire collection of Research Guides at Fordham for recommended websites, databases, e-books, and other resources.
