Common Core Math Standards

Below are the PDF files of the Common Core Math Learning Standards.  A great resource for math teachers is IXL, which helps students to build their skills and master the Math Common Core Standards.

Why Do Standards Matter?

Educational standards guide teachers in the process of constructing lessons and units of studies.  These standards, "unpacked" and analyzed, provide teachers with the opportunity to make these standards attainable for their students and applicable to the content which they are studying.

Unpacking the Standards

The following videos, supplied by the Colordao Department of Education, go through the process of unpacking the standards so to guide teachers as they plan their units of study.  These three videos explain the importance of analyzing the standards word by word, in order to get the most out of the standards prior to starting your planning process.
