Introduction

 Disaster and Emergency Preparedness

ALL  STAFF AND STUDENT EMPLOYEES SHOULD FAMILIARIZE THEMSELVES WITH The Department of  Public Safety's UNIVERSITY EMERGENCY PROCEDURES WEBSITE;

UNIVERSITY EMERGENCY PROCEDURES WEBSITE

Emergency and disaster preparedness has emerged from the grim experiences of librarians and curators over many years. Power outages, water damage, natural disasters,  computer security, health emergencies and fires have added to the growing list of unexpected events in libraries. Our emergency preparedness is essential for the safety of our collections as well as the safety of our staff and students. The University's Department of Public Safety has emergency procedures in place.  All staff should familiarize themselves with the guidelines and advise student employees to do the same.
