Founded in February 1998, MEMRI is an independent, nonpartisan, nonprofit, 501(c)3 organization headquartered in Washington, DC with branch offices in London, Rome, Jerusalem, Baghdad, Shanghai and Tokyo.

The Middle East Policy Council is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization founded in 1981 whose mission is to contribute to American understanding of the political, economic and cultural issues that affect U.S. interests in the Middle East.

The Middle East Research and Information Project (MERIP) was established in 1971. The original conception of MERIP was to provide information and analysis on the Middle East that would be picked up by the existing media.
