Nurdle Patrol
A citizen science project aimed at reducing plastic pollution on coastlines, run by the Mission-Aransas National Estuarine Research Reserve (Reserve) at the University of Texas Marine Science Institute in Port Aransas, Texas.

The FDA's platform that intends to build a community of genomics experts to advance precision medicine and improve genetic tests' accuracy.

Bash The Bug
Project that combines volunteers' and experts' results to determine the genome of M.tuberculosis bacteria in more than 100,000 samples in an effort to learn more about antibiotic resistance.
Science Scribbler
This project studies cells affected by Huntington's Disease. The shape and structure of cells are studied using 3D images. Volunteers localize the center of the organelles in order to help scientists differentiate between healthy and diseased cells.
Rodent Little Brother: Secret Lives of Mice
Project in which volunteers record mice behavior through CCTV, which allows the mice to remain undisturbed in their cages with other mice. The data will be used to train machine-learning algorithms to recognize mice behavior.

An online encyclopedia and database of animal natural history, contributed to by photographers, biologists, and students. This is a University of Michigan project.

An open, online community of naturalists committed to sharing observations, identifications, and photographs of spiders, insects, and related organisms.
eBird
An online database of bird observations providing the public with real-time data about bird distribution and abundance.
Foldit
Foldit is an online crowdsourced puzzle video game about protein folding. The objective is to fold the structures of selected proteins as perfectly as possible, using tools provided in the game.
iNaturalist
iNaturalist helps you identify the plants and animals around you. It also connects you to a community of over a million scientists and naturalists who can help you learn more about nature.

Looks to citizen scientists from around the world to identify wildlife caught on camera.

Earthquake Detective
Contributors listen to seismic waves and classify different seismic events. The goal is to collect enough data to train a machine-learning algorithm to automate seismogram classification.

A crowdsourced astronomy project which invites people to assist in the morphological classification of large numbers of galaxies.
