Locating Bibles in the library is not a simple task since there are many versions and translations. This page contains tips for locating different kinds of Bibles in English and associated resources at Fordham Libraries.
If you need to find a Bible for class, check your syllabus or ask your professor if a specific translation or version is required.
Different versions and translations of the Bible can be noted through A) the name or initials in the title of a Bible or B) through information in library catalog records. Here is a list of some versions/translations:
Searching the library catalog is the best way to find print and electronic Bibles in the library collection. Use the names or initials above in your search to locate specific translations. Print Bibles located in Reference must remain in the library for shared use.

The NRSV (New Revised Standard Version) and NRSVue with Apoctrypha are often used in biblical scholarship in English.
