Course Reserves

We can help with your everyday classroom needs...
Course Reserves (Ares) contain pertinent course readings and materials your professors have designated specifically for your classes. (Ares course page passwords are disseminated only by your faculty members.) Ares help is available in print and video tutorials.

Required books for your classes may be available in the Digital Reserves Collection or as ebooks in the library collection. 

Access Services & Borrowing Privileges

  • Standard undergraduate borrowing privileges include:
    • A 28-day loan period,
    • Placing Holds online through the Catalog for circulating items at any campus library,
    • And a Document Delivery service to receive PDFs of articles-in-print or small selections from books-in-print at Fordham..
  • Materials not owned by Fordham can be requested through Interlibrary Loan.
  • Consortia privileges provide you with additional access to other research collections* beyond Fordham’s holdings.


    *Check with the library you intend to visit to be sure that in-person access is available at this time. 

Are you a graduate student? Enjoy semester loan periods as well as the other services above!

Computer & Printer Services

Computer and printing privileges, including remote printing, are available to all students of Fordham University through the Libraries.

Study Zones Available!

Study Zones at the Quinn and Walsh libraries are available throughout the academic year!

*24-Hour Study Zone during Finals!*

Quinn Library Study Zone
Sunday, 12 p.m. to 11 p.m.
Monday to Friday,  7 a.m. to 9 a.m.
Monday to Thursday,  8 p.m. to 12 a.m.
Saturday, 9 a.m. to 8 p.m.

Walsh Library Study Zone
Monday to Friday, 6:30 a.m. to 8:30 a.m.
Sunday to Thursday,  12 a.m. to  2 a.m.

During Study Zone Hours, only currently enrolled Fordham students, faculty and University staff members are granted access to the Libraries.

Entertainment Options

Looking for some entertainment options?

You can search the Library Catalog for DVDs available for 5-day loans in the EIC or at the Quinn Library Services Desk, as well as search for streaming options in our databases. 

And, don't forget that we have a host of new and popular fiction and non-fiction titles in our circulating collections.
