Guest Privileges at the Fordham University Libraries

Guest Borrowing

Members of the following groups have access privileges to the Fordham University Libraries (outside of the restricted access dates) with presentation of current academic year school ID with photo:

Faculty visiting from other universities.
Students attending Jesuit institutions (AJCU).
Students attending Westchester Colleges and Universities (WALDO) - see list attached below for participating institutions.
Students attending New York Area Theological Library Association (NYATLA) institutions.
Students and staff from OCLC SHARES institutions. (Note: Libraries that also participate in METRO are subject to METRO procedures, unless specifically included in the reciprocal access list below.)
Metropolitan Library Council members, with approval and confirmation through the online METRO Referral system, have one-time, on-site use of specific books or subject areas. Please inquire with your home institution to complete the online METRO Referral form.
Students attending Albert Einstein College of Medicine, and users of St. Luke's/Roosevelt and Cornell Medical Center libraries.
Instructors and employees of the New York Botanical Garden.

Access to the libraries for all of the preceding is dependent upon the presentation of valid I.D.
and adherence at all times to the policies of the Fordham University Libraries and Fordham University.

Reciprocal Access Institutions A full, aplhabetical list of all institutions that participate in reciprocal access agreements with the Fordham University Libraries.

Members of the following groups have borrowing privileges at the Fordham University Libraries
with presentation of current academic year school ID with photo and noted other requirements:

Full-time AJCU faculty members: Four-week loans with a valid AJCU Passport obtained from their home library
Full-time WALDO faculty members: Four-week loans (no renewals) with a valid WALDO sticker - see list attached below for participating institutions

Additional Access Information

Access to the Archives and Special Collections at the Walsh Library is available by advanced appointment only: 718-817-3561. By appointment only.
Access to the Maloney Law School Library must be arranged separately.

Access Privileges for Non-Affiliated Researchers

All others requesting access must complete the University Libraries’ Research Request Form to be considered for temporary and limited access during periods of time that fall outside our restricted access dates.

Guest access is granted only for visiting scholars and researchers outside our library associations, provided that they have a demonstrated need for our collection and research resources.

Access is not granted for any use other than research purposes, including individual or collaborative study spaces.

Disclaimer: Each application will be reviewed to ensure the request criteria match the strengths of our collection compared to other area library collections.
