Access Services & Borrowing Privileges: Privileges at Other Libraries

Access to Other Libraries

Current faculty members of Fordham University have access privileges*
to institutions participating in the following library associations
with presentation of Fordham ID:

  • Association of Jesuit Colleges and Universities (AJCU)
  • New York Area Theological Library Association (NYATLA)
  • OCLC SHARES institutions
    • Note: OCLC SHARES libraries that also participate in METRO are subject to METRO procedures.
  • Metropolitan Library Council (METRO)
    • METRO Referral system: Provides one-time, on-site use of specific books or subject areas. Call (RH: 718-817-3586; LC: 212-636-6050; FW: 914-367-3061), email library@fordham.edu, or visit your campus library's Reference or Library Services Desk in person for more details.
  • The Mertz Library at the New York Botanical Garden
  • New York Public Library (NYPL)
  • Manhattan Research Library Initiative (MaRLI), by application only
    • Fordham faculty members who have an active NYPL library account may apply for participation in MaRLI, a joint venture among the NYPL, Columbia University and New York University libraries.

Borrowing Privileges at Other Libraries

Current faculty members of Fordham University have borrowing privileges*

with presentation of Fordham ID and other requirements as noted:

  • Association of Jesuit Colleges and Universities (AJCU)
    • A valid AJCU Passport must be obtained from your campus library.

To obtain an AJCU Passport, please contact:

  • Nick Alongi (nalongi@fordham.edu) at Quinn Library (LC) for Lincoln Center and Fordham Westchester faculty

  • New York Public Library (NYPL)

    • Fordham faculty members who have an active NYPL library account may apply for participation in MaRLI, a joint venture among the NYPL, Columbia University and New York University libraries.
