What's Up at Walsh?: Silent Book Club

This guide was created by the Walsh Reference Department to highlight some of the fun and interesting things we're doing.

What is the Silent Book Club?

What is the Silent Book Club?

The Silent Book Club is an event where members of the Fordham community gather together and read. There are no assigned books, no discussion groups, and no homework. It's simply an opportunity to read to yourself with other people.

There are about 300 official chapters of Silent Book Club throughout the world. (The Silent Book Club at Fordham Library isn't one of the official chapters.)

What can I expect at Silent Book Club?

You can expect a group of enthusiastic readers and minimal conversation. Bring a book you'd like to read and you're set!

We will have a selection of books available.

Light snacks and covered beverages are permitted.  (Please review the library's Food and Drink policy if you're not sure.)

Where and when does Silent Book Club meet?
