A DOI, or Digital Object Identifier, is a string of numbers, letters, and symbols used to create a stable link to an electronic article or book on the web. DOIs create a uniform landing page that helps researchers locate digital content if website addresses or file locations change. Read more about DOIs here.

Check ASA or APA guidelines for directions about what to do when there is no DOI assigned.
