INSPIREHEP
CERN, DESY, Fermilab and SLAC have built the next-generation High Energy Physics (HEP) information system, INSPIRE. It combines eight interlinked databases on literature, conferences, institutions, journals, researchers, experiments, jobs, and data.
SCOAP3 Books
SCOAP3 (Sponsoring Consortium for Open Access Publishing in Particle Physics) is a partnership of over three thousand libraries, funding agencies and research centers with the goal of enabling open access to particle physics resources. This resource includes over 60 open access books, with more to be added in the future.
NASA/IPAC Extragalactic Database
NED is a comprehensive database of multiwavelength data for extragalactic objects, providing a systematic, ongoing fusion of information integrated from hundreds of large sky surveys and tens of thousands of research publications.

Vast scientific database with references dating from 1960; provides citation searching.
