The Qualitative Data Repository (QDR)is the first domain repository in the United States dedicated to curating, storing, preserving, and publishing digital data generated through qualitative and multi-method research in the social and health sciences, law, education and the humanities.
QDR hopes to expand and improve the use of qualitative data in the evaluation of social science research, in scholarly production and sharing, and in teaching. By increasing researcher visibility, the repository induces intellectual exchange by making it easy for other scholars to find, use, and cite deposited data.
QDR membership offers a range of guidance, resources and user support services to facilitate and encourage the storing and sharing of data. Fordham is an institutional member. The repository is hosted by: Center for Qualitative and Multi-Method Inquiry at Syracuse University.
Researchers interested in using QDR must first register for an account using a Fordham email address.
Only users who have registered (i.e., have agreed to QDR’s General Terms and Conditions of Use) and logged in can view, explore on-line, and/or download data projects, individual data files, or attendant documentation (e.g., interview protocols or human subjects consent forms) published on QDR.
