Requesting Book Chapters & Print Journal Articles

Interlibrary Loan

Borrowing books or accessing articles that are not available at any of the Fordham University Libraries requires assistance from Interlibrary Loan.

Searching WorldCat / OCLC FirstSearch

Find books and other items outside of Fordham with WorldCat / OCLC FirstSearch, a platform that enables searching across the largest library network of collections around the world.

Searching By Library of Congress Subject Headings

As you search through the Library Catalog for books, click on a link for a book and select the Catalog Record link:

To find similar books, click on the subject term Antisemitism--United States--History. This will show you other books in the catalog with the same subject classification.

Another search strategy is to copy & paste subject headings into the Subject search box on the catalog. See additional tabs on the guide for suggested subject headings.

Search for Books in Fordham Special Collections

  • If you know the Judaica Collection or the Rosenblatt Holocaust Collection holds a specific book, you can search for it by title or author in the Library Catalog.

  • The link above will take you to this page:

  • To browse the items in the Judaica Collection, type SPEC COLL JUDAICA in the top box asking for a call number.
  • In the row below asking for a library option, select Rose Hill--Walsh Library from the drop down menu.

  • Press Search. This will show you items in the collection that you can scroll through.
  • To advance forward or backward as you browse the collection, look for the FORWARD and BACKWARD options at the top or bottom of the page.
