Access Services & Borrowing Privileges: Fine Amnesty Week

Returning an overdue or lost book?!?

During Fine Amnesty Week only (May 8-12), your fines will be waived!

Fines waived? Really?!?!

Graduating Students: Reconciling your library record before leaving Fordham helps to prevent transcript holds from being placed on your student accounts.

* Final eligibility for all transcript hold decisions are determined by library staff.*

No questions asked, no excuses needed!

Consider it a win-win for you and for the Fordham Libraries: You can clear your account--and your conscience--and we can make these valuable resources available to other members of the Fordham community.

There is no catch!

Fine Amnesty Week details:

Bring overdue materials--no matter how long they have been overdue and even if they have been marked lost--to any campus library’s Circulation Desk and indicate you are taking advantage of the Fine Amnesty Week program.

As an added bonus, anyone with outstanding bills can have their total amount cut in half!

We will not waive fines:

  • If items are damaged, excessively marked and/or highlighted, or in disrepair

  • If items are left in the overnight drop boxes

  • To reduce the cost of replacing any lost items--please see a Circulation staff member for replacement information

  • After Amnesty Week ends on May 12, 2017

Please note that this program does not extend to: Interlibrary Loan materials; Law Library materials; audio-visual items (DVDs, CDs, etc.) and Reserve items from the Fordham University Libraries collection; and tech equipment from any campus library.
