edTPA is an assessment that answers the essential question: "Is a new teacher ready for the job?"
By completing the edTPA, preservice teachers should be able to demonstrate their answers to the following questions:
What are my teaching goals?
What are my students' learning needs?
Why do I believe my methods are appropriate for those goals and needs?
What evidence demonstrates those goals and needs are being met?
