The Smithsonian National Museum of African Art's digital exhibit World on the Horizon: Swahili Arts Across the Indian Ocean features history and artifacts from the Swahili coast. The exhibit was organized by the Krannert Art Museum at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign and curated by Prita Meier and Allyson Purpura
